Here's a sneak peek at my space at Wild Rose & Company Marketplace. It still needs a little tweaking, but I was anxious to get a picture up. Our Grand Opening is tomorrow, so if you are in the area, please stop in and say hello!
Hanging out at estate sales, barn sales, and even an auction house. Throw in some time in the garage and a bunch of time in front of the computer. All in preparation for my new venture.
I will soon be one of seven vendors at the new Wild Rose and Company Marketplace in Walkersville, MD.The shop will be a collaboration of seven women selling antiques, home furnishings, and accessories.
The Marketplace is the brainchild of a wonderfully creative and talented woman, Lynette Hasselgren of Wild Rose Home Decor. (She's not one to toot her own horn, but her home has been in Better Homes and Gardens!)
When Lynette first approached me with the idea, I was excited, but hesitant. Would this really work? Would the amount of time I would need to put into it pay off? I am not a risk taker. In the past, I probably would have talked myself out of it and chalked it up to something I would do "someday," but it dawned on me that this was the time. This was the opportunity I had been wanting. This was the sort of thing I
have always dreamed about. A creative outlet and a way to
hopefully earn a little money doing something I enjoy. All
while being able to be home with my children. So, I went with it, and I am so glad I did, because this is turning out to be something bigger and better than I ever imagined.
Lynette has put together an amazing ensemble and I am honored to be a part of such an incredibly talented group of women:
